Before applying for e-visa, the applicant should check the name of their country in the list below to make sure they are suitable for the e-visa to Vietnam.

  • * Chinese e-Passport (passport with nine dash line map) are NOT accepted for applying Vietnam e-visa. Chinese e-Passport number is usually begins with letter “E”. Chinese e-Passport holders are advised to apply for visa at the embassy or apply for Visa On Arrival. Chinese Passports (Old type) with passport number begin with letter ā€œGā€ are OK for applying Vietnam e-Visa.
  • ** Hong Kong’s new version passport (passport number begins with letter ā€œHā€) ANDĀ  Hong Kong Document of Identity for Visa Purposes (HKDI) [香ęøÆē‰¹åˆ„č”Œę”æ區ē°½č­‰čŗ«ä»½ę›ø] – passport number begins with letter ā€œDā€ are NOT accepted for applying e-visa. We hope it willĀ  be accepted soon. Now, you can apply for Visa On Arrival or apply for a visa at theĀ  embassy.
  • *** British National oversea (BNO) passportĀ  holders are NOT accepted for applying e-visa. You are advised to apply for Visa On Arrival or apply for a visa at theĀ  embassy.

This article is about to provide some basic information for those wish to know about Vietnam e-visa In order to help make it easier for foreign visitors to come to Vietnam, the government has decided to launch theĀ e-visa. With this visa, the Vietnam government is hoping to lure more foreign visitors into the country.

The standard processing time of the Vietnam e-visa is 3 to 5 business days. Sometimes, itā€™s earlier than that, but there are also times that the processing will be delayed especially if youā€™re applying during the peak travel season.

Thereā€™s no need to visit a Vietnam consulate or embassy for your e-visa application. Everything is done online and all it requires is for you to fill out the form.

When applying for the Vietnam e-visa, you will be asked to enter your personal information. This includes your complete name, date of birth, nationality, and some relevant details from your passport.

When they approve your e-visa application, they will inform you through email about the status of the visa. If itā€™s approved, they will ask you to click a link to download the visa.

There are 2 options to get your e-visa extended as below: Do It Yourself : Download Form NA5 for visa extension fill, sign then bring it to your embassy or consulate to ask forĀ  sponsoring. Ask your hotel or host for the Temporary residence declaration.

The e-visa of Vietnam will let you stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days. It’s a single entry.
