Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Uzbekistan

Agreement Between The Government Of The Socialist Republic Of Vietnam And The Government Of The Republic Of Uzbekistan On Visa Free-Trips Of The Citizens Holding Diplomatic Passports. The agreement was signed on April 5, 2010, effective June 4, 2010.

Have agreed as follows:

Article 1

The citizens of the states of the Parties holding valid diplomatic passports, may enter, exit from or transit through the territory of the other state of the Party without visa for a period not exceeding 60 (sixty) days from the date of the entry.

Article 2

The citizens of the state of one of the Parties holding valid diplomatic passports, who intend to stay within the territory of the other Party more than 60 (sixty) days, shall get necessary visas beforehand.

Article 3

1. The citizens of the states of the Parties holding valid diplomatic passports and carry out official functions as officials at the diplomatic or consular missions may enter, exit and stay without visa for the period of their assignment.

2. The rights set out in paragraph 1 of this Article shall also apply to the citizens of the states of the Parties representing either of the Party at international organization with headquarters located in the territory of the other state of the Parties or carrying out functions at such international organizations and holding valid diplomatic passports.

3. Members of the families (husband/wife and under-age children), living with above mentioned persons for the whole period of their assignment, shall also enjoy the rights set out in paragraph 1 of this Article if they are holding valid diplomatic passports.

Article 4

The citizens of the states of the Parties stated in articles 1 and 3 of this Agreement, shall enter, exit from and transit through the territory of the state of the other Party, through check-points open to the international passenger traffic. They are obliged to accomplish relevant formalities provided by competent authorities of the states of the other Party.
