Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Turkey
Agreement Between The Government Of The Socialist Republic Of Vietnam And The Government Of The Republic Of Turkey On Mutual Abolition Of Visas For Holders Of Diplomatic, Official, Service And Special Passports. The agreement was signed on January 26, 2007, effective from June 7, 2007
Have agreed as follows:
Article 1
The present Agreement is applicable to valid diplomatic and official passports of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and valid diplomatic, service and special passports of the Republic of Turkey.
Article 2
1. Citizens of either Contracting Party holding valid passports specified in Article 1 shall be exempted from visa requirements for entry into, exit from and stay in the territory of the other Contracting Party for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days.
2. Upon request in writing from the diplomatic mission or consular post of either Contracting Party, the other Contracting Party may extend the duration of stay for the persons referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article.
Article 3
1. Citizens of either Contracting Party, who are members of the diplomatic mission or a consular post in the territory of the other Contracting Party, as well as members of their families, holding valid passports specified in Article 1, shall be exempted from visa requirements for entry into, exit from and stay in the territory of the other Contracting Party for the period of their assignments.
2. The provisions of paragraph 1 of this Article shall apply also to citizens of either Contracting Party who are assigned as members of international organisations located in the territory of the other Contracting Party and to members of their families, holding valid passports specified in Article 1.
3. Within ninety (90) days from the date of entry, the persons referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2 of this Article should complete necessary procedures for registration of stay at the competent authorities of the host country.
