According to the Agreement signed on June 13, 2001, between the Governments of Vietnam and Iraq on visa exemption, effective from December 1, 2001:
Visa exemption is granted to holders of diplomatic and official passports for a temporary residence of up to 90 days. Extensions are available upon request by diplomatic missions and consulates.
Members of diplomatic missions, consulates, international organizations, and their family members holding diplomatic and official passports are exempted from visa requirements during their working term.

Agreement between Vietnam and France regarding visa exemption for short stays on a reciprocal basis for diplomatic passport holders. Signed on October 6, 2004, and effective from July 1, 2005.
