Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – India (Bharat)

On September 7, 1994, an agreement was signed between the governments of Vietnam and India to regulate travel conditions for citizens of both countries. The agreement became effective on September 23, 1994:

  • Visa exemption is granted to holders of diplomatic or official passports for a temporary stay of up to 90 days, which can be extended upon request by diplomatic missions or consulates.
  • Upon request of diplomatic missions or consulates, members of diplomatic missions, consulates, and international organizations, along with their spouses and children living with them, holding diplomatic or official passports, are granted visas valid for the duration of their term.

Agreement between Vietnam and France regarding visa exemption for short stays on a reciprocal basis for diplomatic passport holders. Signed on October 6, 2004, and effective from July 1, 2005.

On March 31, 2011, the Vietnamese and Salvadoran governments signed an agreement allowing visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders. The agreement became effective on May 30, 2011.
