Visa Exemption Agreement Between Vietnam – Hungary

On May 4, 1993, the Governments of Vietnam and Hungary signed an agreement to exempt citizens holding diplomatic and official passports from visa requirements. The agreement became effective on August 1, 1993:

  • Visa exemption is granted to holders of diplomatic and official passports with a temporary residence of up to 90 days. Extensions are available upon request by diplomatic missions and consulates.
  • Members of diplomatic missions, consulates, trade agencies, international organizations, and their spouses and minor children living with them, holding diplomatic or official passports, are exempted from visa requirements for the duration of their assignments.

Agreement between Vietnam and France regarding visa exemption for short stays on a reciprocal basis for diplomatic passport holders. Signed on October 6, 2004, and effective from July 1, 2005.

On March 31, 2011, the Vietnamese and Salvadoran governments signed an agreement allowing visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders. The agreement became effective on May 30, 2011.
