Starting March 1 through December 31, 2025, nationals from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland will receive a 45-day visa exemption for travel to Vietnam.
This initiative represents the Vietnamese Government’s latest effort to boost tourism and draw visitors from key potential markets.
Poland and the Czech Republic rank as Vietnam’s primary trading partners in Central Eastern Europe. In 2024, Vietnam recorded approximately 50,000 Polish visitors and 25,000 Czech tourists entering the country.
In economic terms, Switzerland stands as a crucial European trade partner for Vietnam and ranks as the 6th largest European investor, with investments totaling roughly 2.1 billion USD. Bilateral cooperation shows significant growth potential in sectors including education, training, scientific advancement, technological innovation, sustainable development, cultural exchange, and tourism.
Vietnam currently offers unilateral visa exemptions for temporary stays up to 45 days to citizens from 13 nations: Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Belarus. Nationals from these countries may remain in Vietnam for 45 days from entry, regardless of passport category or entry purpose.
We are optimistic that, following December 31, 2025, citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland will be granted the privilege of traveling to Vietnam without a visa for a duration of 45 days. This development would not only enhance tourism and cultural exchange between these nations and Vietnam but also strengthen diplomatic relations, fostering greater understanding and cooperation in various sectors.
