Are you from Cyprus and planning to visit Vietnam soon? If you are, then you should know that a visa is required for you to enter the country. Thankfully, getting a Vietnam visa for citizens of Cyprus is now so easy, thanks to the Vietnam e-visa.
Last February of 2017, the Vietnam government launched the e-Visa program for citizens of more than 80 countries. These include citizens of Cyprus. Under this visa program, Cypriot citizens no longer need to go to the nearest Vietnam embassy. They can simply go online and fill out an online application form.
After you submit your visa application, it will take 3 – 5 business days for the Vietnam Immigration Dept. to process your visa. When the visa is approved, it will be sent to your email address. Print the e-visa and bring on your trip to Vietnam. This is what you’re going to show the immigration officer to be able to enter Vietnam for your holiday.
Applying for the Vietnam e-visa is easy. Plus, the requirements that you need to submit are pretty basic. In order not to encounter delays, make sure you have the following requirements ready when applying for the Vietnam e-visa:
The processing time of the Vietnam e-visa will vary greatly. This will usually depend on the number of visa applications that the Vietnam Immigration Dept. needs to process. If it’s the peak season, then you can expect the processing time to take longer than usual. You will also be given an option to choose the processing time of your visa. If you need it faster, then you can expect to pay more. Here are your options:
It’s $25 for applicant apply e-visa directly at the website of the government https://xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn. Please note that government website does not support online, no rush service, and the fund is non-refundable.
The cost is higher if applying your e-visa through an agency due to their sponsoring for your e-visa, support online & the policy of 100% money back guarantee if you are not satisfied.
The processing cost of your Vietnam e-visa through agency will depend upon your preferred processing time. For standard processing, citizens of Cyprus will be charged $35. If you choose the rush processing, be prepared to pay $50. But if you have opted for the super rush processing, you will need to pay $90.
Please see Vietnam visa fees for update.
There are no other requirements that you need to submit for your e-visa aside from those requirements mentioned above. However, it’s worth noting that the e-Visa will only grant you a stay of 30 days. If, for instance, you decide to extend your holiday, you may need to request from an agency to sponsor your stay in the country.
Cypriot travelers must carry the e-Visa with them at all times while holidaying in Vietnam. The e-Visa might be required for entry at certain places along with your passport.
For minors who are coming with their parents to Vietnam, they must have a separate e-Visa if they already have their passport. But for those who are sharing a passport with their parents or guardian, they can also share the e-Visa.
Remember that in the event that your visa will be rejected for one reason or another, the processing fee of your visa can no longer be refunded back to you. Also, the Vietnam Immigration Department reserves the right not to divulge the reason behind the rejection of your visa.
Although the processing of the Vietnam e-visa for citizens of Cyprus will only take a maximum of 3 – 5 business days, there are situations where it will be delayed. As such, foreign travelers are strongly advised to apply for their e-visa as early as possible.
