But with the Vietnam Visa on Arrival, you can choose the multiple entry option that will allow you to stay in the country for 90 days.

To apply for the e-Visa, you just need to fill out an application form online. Enter your personal details, passport information, and most importantly, provide a valid email address. That’s because your e-Visa will be sent to your email once it is approved. Once you receive it in your email, all you need to do is to print the e-visa and bring it with you on your trip to Vietnam.
But then again, the e-Visa is only applicable for short-term stays. If you plan on staying longer, the Vietnam Visa on Arrival is a better option.
If you believe that the Vietnam Visa on Arrival is what’s suitable for you, then all you need to do is to request for a pre-approval letter. This letter can be applied online. You just need to fill out a form with all your personal details and passport details as well. Just like the Vietnam e-Visa, the pre-approval letter will be sent to your email. You just need to print this letter and carry it on your trip.
When you arrive at the airport immigration of Vietnam, simply present the approval letter along with your passport. You will also be asked to provide passport size photos. After a while, the officer will stamp your passport with a visa and you can go ahead and enter the country.
Both the e-Visa and Visa on Arrival are great options for those who need a visa to enter Vietnam. However, each type of visa comes with its own pros and cons.
The biggest advantage of e-Visa is that you can apply it ahead without having to go to an embassy. You just need to connect to the Internet and everything is a breeze. Unfortunately, the e-Visa will only grant you a single entry and you can only stay for 30 days. This may not be ideal for those who intend to stay in the country for more than a month and may need to exit the country more than once.
With the Vietnam Visa on Arrival, you will have an option to apply for the multiple-entry visa, which will grant you a stay of up to 90 days in Vietnam. However, this visa also comes with some disadvantages. First, this visa will require you to queue at the airport for picking up your visa. Depending on the time of the year that you arrive in Vietnam, the line can get really long. This can be such a hassle especially if you’re traveling with some kids.
It’s also worth noting that the visa can only be applied at the airports of Vietnam. So if you’re entering Vietnam by land or through a seaport, you cannot avail of this visa.
The type of visa that you should go for will mainly depend upon your personal preferences and your needs. If you’re going to stay in Vietnam for more than 30 days and you’re flying at some of the major airports in Vietnam, then the Vietnam Visa on Arrival is what you should choose.
But if you are only staying for less than 30 days, you might as well go for the e-Visa. This visa will only take a few minutes of your time to apply online. So wherever you are in the world, you’d be able to apply for this type of visa. There’s no longer a need to go to an embassy because the visa will be sent directly to your email.
