In order to protect the Vietnamese citizens from the deadly coronavirus, also known as Covid 19, Vietnam has to temporarily stop the issuance of tourist visas. From March 2020, the world was put to a standstill when the virus has started to spread very rapidly.

The Covid 19 pandemic has greatly disrupted the travel and tourism industry around the world. When the deadly virus started spreading fast, countries have scrambled to close their own borders in order to protect its citizens.

From March 2020, during the height of the Covid 19 crisis, Vietnam has decided to temporarily suspend visa issuance for all foreigners entering the country. This decision was made by the prime minister himself in an effort to combat the rapid spread of the deadly virus.
