You can apply for a single-entry or multiple entries, with a choice between 30 days and 60 days validity. If your visa renewal application is approved, a visa sticker will be attached to your passport. This new visa will let you stay in Vietnam longer with no need to exit the country and re-enter.
Just like the visa extension, the visa renewal can be applied from the Vietnam Immigration Office of Ho Chi Minh City.
To be approved for the visa renewal, you must submit all the requirements that Vietnam Immigration will require. Below are the requirements that you need to prepare for the visa renewal application:
👉 Original copy of passport – you must submit the original copy of your passport when applying for the visa renewal. Your passport should be valid for at least six months from the date of renewal. It should also have extra pages for the visa sticker to be attached.
👉 Application form – applying for a visa renewal is just like applying for a new visa. You need to fill out an application form and provide all your personal details, such as your complete name and other details from your passport. Make sure you fill out the form correctly. 👉 3. When you’re done, give the form to the staff at the Immigration Office. Submit it along with your passport and visa copy, if you have one. Then the staff will check your requirements. If everything is complete, they will receive your application and ask you to pay for the processing fee.
👉 4. After paying the processing fee, the staff will ask you to wait for their call once your visa renewal application is approved. If it’s approved, you need to claim your passport from the Immigration Office. Your passport will have the visa sticker attached to it.
