The Vietnam e-Visa is an official Vietnamese visa that the Immigration Department of Vietnam would issue to citizens of more than 80 countries including Brazil. This document will allow a Brazilian citizen to enter the country and stay for 30 days. But unlike the standard visa that you need to personally apply from a Vietnam embassy or on arrival at the airport, this visa can only be acquired online.
When you are approved of this visa, it will be sent to your email or you can download it from their website. You just need to print a copy and bring it with you on your trip. There’s no need to show up at an embassy or at the visa counter at the airport to claim the visa.
The Vietnam E-visa is accepted at the International airports of Vietnam as well as in some ports of entry in the country. When you arrive at the country, you need to present the visa together with your passport to the immigration officer. The officer will validate the authenticity of your visa and will refer to your passport for verification. Your passport will then be stamped, which indicates that you are now free to enter Vietnam.
Although you have a printed copy of the e-Visa, it is advised that you keep a soft copy in your phone, laptop, or tablet. There are instances when you will be asked for your visa while in the country. Also, it is very useful for when you end up misplacing your printed copy of e- Visa.
Vietnam’s Immigration Department launched the Vietnam e-Visa last February 2017. This was offered to 80 countries including Brazil. It’s an electronic version of the actual visa and is the easiest and most convenient type of visa to avail.
